QUARANTINE LETTERS WITH YOUR WORDS MATTER TO US
Quarantine Letters
November 5, 2020 - November 25, 2020
Your Words Matter To Us has partnered with Writing Wonders Organization to host this spectacular event, Quarantine Letters where we provide prompts for volunteers to create letters. They send these letters through our website to the elderly, healthcare workers, and children!
Your Words Matter To Us will hold a Zoom meeting so volunteers have the opportunity to edit with their representatives and Heidi Greco, an author and literary activist!
Prompts:
Write about something that makes you happy and share the reason behind the happiness with others.
What have you learned/realized because of your quarantine experience?
Write a personal narrative about one of your quarantine experiences.
Rules:
Word Count: 200-500
There is no limit on the letters you create.
Each letter is worth 1 hour of community service.
These letters are geared towards the elderly, healthcare workers, and children.

Why YOU Should Participate:
Receive community service hours and certificates!
Get your work published on both of our platforms including other partners!
You have the chance to receive feedback from Heidi Greco and other editing support!

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN CONTEST
Spooky Halloween Contest
October 28, 2020 - November 11, 2020
Participants are allowed to submit Halloween themed letters and artworks to our organization in exchange for recognition and rewards. You are allowed to submit one letter OR one artwork. They must be appropriately themed for this contest.
Letters: Letters are can be a maximum of ONE page long. These can include poems, several paragraphs, etc. You're allowed to put images, colors, and other creative ideas into these letters. There are no rules on the format of your work other than it is one-page maximum.
Artworks: Artworks have no range of how large or small the piece can be.
How to Submit:
1. Post your artwork onto your Instagram Story and tag @writing_wonders_organization.
2. Go to the button below to submit your work through our Google Form!
If You Win:
1st Place: You will receive a shout-out, on our Instagram, community service hours, and be featured on our Gallery Page!
2nd Place: You will receive a shout-out on our Instagram and community service hours.
3rd Place: You will receive a shout out on our Instagram!
Results: The results will be released on Friday the 13th (November 13th, 2020) through email and on our social media platforms.
DEADLINE: LAST DAY TO SUBMIT IS NOVEMBER 11, 2020.

Q&A EVENT
Q&A Event
August 5th, 2020 - August 7th, 2020
Event Details:
Writing Wonders Organization is hosting a Question & Answer Event on our Discord Server taking place from August 5th-7th at 1pm - 3pm EST! Sehr Abrar and Izza Qureshi (Co-founders of Writing Wonders Organization) will be hosting this event and they’ll answer any questions, comments, or suggestions you have in regards to the organization and our initiative.

Send an email to writingwondersorg@gmail.com to RSVP and we'll send an invite via Google Calendar. We will provide further instructions on how to join the Discord event once you confirm you're coming. If you’re shy to speak, don’t worry, this event will mainly be over text so please feel free to participate in this event!

Why: To answer questions, respond to suggestions, and get to know our volunteers. Volunteers may request community service hours based on how long they stayed.
